Indulge in a creamy, delicious treat that’s not only guilt-free but also packed with nutritious benefits. Our Vegan Chocolate Banana Ice Cream is made with whole food ingredients and takes just five minutes to whip up. This easy recipe combines the natural sweetness of ripe bananas and dates with the rich, indulgent flavors of cacao powder and our mixed walnut butter, "The High Bar".
Ingredients
-
2-3 bananas, peeled
-
1 cup pitted medjool dates
-
¼ - ½ cup water
-
½ cup cacao powder
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
½ cup of our Almond Pecan Walnut Butter, “The High Bar” or other nut butter of choice
Directions
Add all ingredients to a high powered blender, such as a vitamix. To start, add just ¼ cup of water. If you only have a food processor, soak the dates in hot water first to soften.
Blend until completely smooth. The dates should be ‘dissolved’ into the mixture. If it’s too thick, add a little more water. If it’s too thin, add more banana or nut butter.
Pour into a freezer safe container and freeze overnight.
Before scooping, let it sit on the counter for 10 minutes. Scoop out into a bowl, top with more nut butter, and enjoy!
