These brownies started with an idea: how do we take a classic treat and make it even more special with our nut butter? We teamed up with Kosterina and went to work. Our Maple Bliss Nut Butter adds this really rich, almost caramel-like maple flavor that makes every bite more interesting than your typical brownie.
What’s cool is how they used their own Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which adds this amazing, soft texture that just melts in your mouth. Then, to tie it all together, they added a splash of their Walnut Balsamic Vinegar, bringing in a surprising pop of tang that balances out the richness. It’s the kind of recipe that feels familiar but also has that extra something you didn’t know you needed.
Ingredients
-
½ cup Kosterina Everyday Extra Virgin Olive Oil
-
1 ¼ cup coconut sugar
-
2 eggs
-
1 tsp vanilla
-
2 tbsp Kosterina Walnut Balsamic Vinegar
-
¾ cup almond flour
-
3 tbsp tapioca flour
-
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
-
½ tsp salt
-
¾ cup chocolate chips
-
~½ cup Maple Bliss (Our Maple Walnut Pecan Nut Butter)
-
1 tbsp Kosterina Everyday Extra Virgin Olive Oil
-
1 tsp milk
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 F and grease an 8x8 inch pan.
To a large mixing bowl, add the Kosterina Everyday Extra Virgin Olive Oil, coconut sugar, eggs, vanilla, and Kosterina Walnut Balsamic Vinegar. Beat with a whisk or hand mixer until completely combined.
To a medium bowl, add the almond flour, tapioca flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Stir to combine.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix with a spatula until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Spread the brownie batter into the pan and bake for 20-24 minutes or until the center of the brownies is set. Let cool completely.
To make the frosting, mix together the Mixed Up Maple Bliss Nut Butter, Kosterina Everyday Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and milk until smooth. Spread over the brownies before cutting into squares and serving.
